Record Cardio Help

The Record Cardio screen allows you to enter and store your cardio workouts. You can also create templates of different type of cardio workouts (e.g. bike.tmplt). You can also update or delete a previously entered cardio record.

Add Exercise

At the top of the screen click the button "Add Exercise". If you would like to change the date from the current date displayed in 'Or select new cardio date:' then click the dropdown menu next to the date text prompt. This will give you a chance to select a new calendar date. Once you click the 'Add Exercise' icon, a dialog will popup allowing you to add attributes for that type of exercise. You must select a 'Exercise' group before adding the attributes of (intensity, level, distance, calories, duration, and notes)

Custom Exercise:

You can create your own custom exercise, if you do not find your exercise listed in the dropdown menu. Once you create a custom exercise, it will show up in the 'Exercise' dropdown menu.

Duration: (h:m:s)

Duration is the amount of time during the exercise that is represented as 'h'ours:'m'inutes:'s'econds

Displaying saved records:

You can display saved workouts by date to print off workouts, view previous workouts, or print off a workout. You can retrieve them by selecting the dropdown menu for 'Select saved cardio date:'. This dropdown menu has all the saved cardio workouts by date.

Save Template

Once you have added all the exercises you would like to add for a type of workout, say 'Treadmill' then you can click the 'Save Template' icon at the top of the screen. This will bring up a dialog titled 'Save Template File'. In the 'File name:' edit box you can create a name for the .tmplt file (e.g. treadmill.tmplt). This will now give you an opportunity to reuse the workout template without retyping in all the attributes for a given workout.

Open Template

Rather than adding all the same exercises over and over, you can use a template that you saved as described in 'Save Template'. Just select the 'Open Template' icon at the top of the screen. This will bring up a dialog titled 'Open Template File'. Find the template you created and select it. My Workout Trainer will now display your created template which will now give you the opportunity to modify any of the displayed exercises.

Updating an Existing Exercise Record

Select a exercise record from the screen, then click the 'Edit Exercise' icon. A dialog that displays all the attributes of the exercise. You can change the information in this dialog box and then click on the 'Edit' icon at the bottom of the screen.

Deleting a Exercise

Select an existing exercise date from the screen. Click on the 'delete' icon at the top of the screen. A dialog will popup that will display the selected record. Click on 'Delete' icon and that exercise record will be deleted from My Workout Trainer.
